Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in strength within the urban setting.
Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of Campaign 4 lie ahead.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the main group to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.
The Soldiers table includes the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might look out of place, but the actions of the latest installment show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and taking all the powerful objects to auction.
Casimir then cleared his debts and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each character has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:
- The rogue, as the close ally and best friend, desires revenge.
- The adventurer knows Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous place.
- Tyranny and The healer, having defied his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their position as key figures in the influential clan could help the group reach places they usually can’t.
- Additionally, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him everywhere.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The healer defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.
This results in them few options but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.
Future Episodes
Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear next week, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Explorers and Strategists groups.
Viewers can anticipate learning which characters will be assigned to which table in the season’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
